A meeting of the Network of the Presidents of the Supreme Judicial Courts of the European Union was held in Vienna
On 9-11th November, 2023, the President of the Supreme Court of Lithuania Danguolė Bublienė participated in the annual colloquium of the Network of the Presidents of the Supreme Judicial Courts of the European Union, as well as the joint meeting of this network, the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights in Vienna.
The afternoon of 9th November was dedicated to the discussion of all members of the network "Ensuring uniform practice of the Supreme Court. Internal differences: solutions and good practices", the discussion was followed by a general assembly in which all network members, associate members and observers could participate.
On 10th November joint discussions were held with the President of the Court of Justice of the European Union, Koen Lenaerts, and the President of the European Court of Human Rights, Siofra O'Leary. This day was divided into two independent work sessions: in the morning session the main focus was on the topic "Dialogue of judges: issues of fundamental rights in court decisions", in the afternoon session the chairmen had the opportunity to exchange ideas on "The influence of artificial intelligence on the work of courts and the administration of justice".
The last day, 11th November was dedicated to the social program of the participants visiting the city of Vienna.
