Chairperson of the Criminal Division participated in the International Congress of Criminalistics and Forensic Expertise
On the 12-14th of September, Gabrielė Juodkaitė-Granskienė, Chairperson of the Criminal Division of the Supreme Court of Lithuania, took part in the XX International Congress "Criminalistics and Forensic Expertise: Science, Studies, Practice", which was held at Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius.
G. Juodkaitė-Granskienė has been a member of the organizing committee of this congress since 2000, when the first congress was held and Polish and Lithuanian scientists and specialists participated in it. In almost a quarter of a century, congress has been attended by over 1500 participants and hundreds more listeners, with about 1000 papers presented and over 900 scientific articles printed. This year's anniversary congress was attended by more than 100 participants, including over 50 scientists and practitioners from 11 foreign countries.
"This congress is important not only for scientific cooperation opportunities but also for initiatives at cross-border and inter-institutional level. During the anniversary congress, representatives of the Lithuanian Association of Criminology, the Polish Criminalists Association, the Ukrainian International Congress of Forensic Scientists, and the German Society of Criminalists signed an additional declaration on the establishment of the European Federation of National Forensic Associations," said G. Juodkaitė-Granskienė, Chairperson of the Criminal Division of the Supreme Court of Lithuania.
