Aurelijus Gutauskas is temporarily acting as the President of the Supreme Court of Lithuania
The Constitutional Court on 28th May 2020 held decision that Judge Sigita Rudėnaitė could not hold the office of the Chairman of the Civil Cases Division of the Supreme Court of Lithuania and temporarily head the entire court until the constitutional case was examined. The case challenges the Seimas resolution on her dismissal. Taking into account this decision and in accordance with Paragraph 1 of Article 105 of the Law on Courts, Aurelijus Gutauskas, Chairman of the Criminal Cases Division, is temporarily acting as the President of the Supreme Court of Lithuania.
