Darius Kantaravičius is appointed as a judge of the Supreme Court of Lithuania

On the 17th of September, the Seimas appointed Darius Kantaravičius as a judge of the Supreme Court of Lithuania and today he joins the Court.

D. Kantaravičius received his Master of Laws degree from Vilnius University in 2002 and started working in the field of law. Since 2008, he has worked as a judge at Kaunas Regional Court, Jonava Region District Court, Kėdainiai Region District Court, and headed Kėdainiai Region District Court and Kaunas District Court. From 2019 until he was appointed as a judge of the Supreme Court of Lithuania, he worked as a judge of the Criminal Division of Kaunas Regional Court and served as the Chairman of the Criminal Division of Kaunas Regional Court from 2019 to 2023. From 2020 he has been a member of the  Permanent Commission for the Assessment of the Activities of Judges.
