On 14 March 2023 judge Danguolė Bublienė was appointed as the President of the Supreme Court of Lithuania. The president of the Supreme Court of Lithuania is appointed by the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania on the recommendation of the President.

D. Bublienė has been working at the Supreme Court of Lithuania since 2017. Before becoming a judge, D. Bublienė worked for a long time in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Lithuania and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania. The judge also worked as a lawyer for ten years.

The judge has obtained a doctorate degree in social sciences (law), also has been teaching at Mykolas Romeris University since 2002, and at the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University since 2003.

D. Bublienė is the author and/or co-author of many scientific publications on various topics of civil law; is a recognized expert to consumer legal protection in Lithuania.

In 2021 the judge was appointed by the Council of Judgesas a representative in the State Guaranteed Legal Aid Coordination Council.

D. Bublienė was approved as a member of the Evaluation Committee.
