On the 5^th of June, a delegation of Hungarian judges visited the Supreme Court of Lithuania. The delegation had a meeting with the President of the Court Danguole Bubliene, Chairperson of the Civil Division Artūras Driukas, judge from the Criminal Division Tomas Šeškauskas and adviser of the Criminal Division Asta Benetyte. The Hungarian delegation was represented by the President of the Budapest Environs Regional Court Tamás Gerber, the President of the Vác District Court Andrea Molnár, the President of the Nadkőres District Court Szilvia Emese Kertész and criminal law judges Andrea Répássy and Rita Katona.

During the meeting, the Hungarian delegation was given a detailed presentation on the activities of the Supreme Court of Lithuania, statistics on cassation appeals and cases, international cooperation, and judges’ selection. During the discussion, similarities and differences between the judicial systems of the countries were discussed, as well as the use of mediation for civil cases in the Supreme Court of Lithuania.

Hungarian judges visit Lithuanian courts as part of the European Judicial Training Network's knowledge exchange program.
