This week, the participants of the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) exchange program visited the Supreme Court of Lithuania.

The delegation consisted of ten representatives of the judicial systems of the Netherlands, Greece, Romania, Finland, Germany and Hungary, who came to Lithuania to get to know the Lithuanian judicial system, to gain good experience in organizing the work of the courts and to share the practices of their countries.

The guests who came to the Supreme Court of Lithuania were introduced to the activities of the Court by Renata Viduto-Errard, senior advisor of the Legal Research Group. This week, the guests also visited official receptions at the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania, the National Courts Administration, Kaunas District Court, the General Prosecutor's Office, the Special Investigations Service, the Financial Crimes Investigation Service and the Seimas. The guest program also included places of interest - Pažaislis Monastery, a tour of the Old Town of Vilnius (UNESCO), the former Lukiškių Prison, Trakai Castle.

This exchange program is mutual, the participants of the program go to the selected EJTN member countries, then the representatives of these countries go on return visits. This is the first time that the EJTN exchange program has been held and has received excellent feedback from exchange participants.
