President of the Court participated in the Conference of Chief Justices of Central and Eastern Euorope

On the 24-25th June, the President of the Supreme Court of Lithuania Danguolė Bublienė participated in the 14th Conference of Chief Justices of Central and Eastern Euorope, which took place in Kosovo. Conference was organized by the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kosovo, in cooperation with the Kosovo Judicial Council, the CEELI Institute, USAID and INL.
In his opening speech, the President of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kosovo Fejzullah Rexhepi, considered this conference as an excellent opportunity to discuss, exchange ideas and the legal practices between the courts, as well as to strengthen cooperation between the courts and European judicial system.
Five topics were discussed in the conference: judicial independence, backlogs and delays, access to justice, public support and respect for the judiciary and technological innovations in judicial reform.
The President of the Supreme Court of Lithuania Danguolė Bublienė delivered a presentation “Building Public Support and Respect for the Judiciary”.
