Representatives of the Court attended a conference of the Supreme Court of Latvia

On the 23rd of May, the President of the Supreme Court of Lithuania Danguolė Bublienė and the judge of the Civil Division Goda Ambrasaitė-Balynienė participated in the conference of the Supreme Court of Latvia on the topic "The Values of the European Union - the Responsibility of Every National Judge".
The conference was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the enlargement of the European Union, when Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, Cyprus and Malta joined EU in 2004.
The conference was attended by senators of the Supreme Court of Latvia, presidents of Latvian courts, presidents of supreme courts and judges of the countries that joined the EU in 2004, as well as by judges who work and have worked at the Court of Justice of the European Union. Representatives of Ukraine, Moldova and Sakartvelo were also invited to the conference as EU candidate countries.
